In response to a query from a member of this group, I activated the calendar feature on the group site at Yahoogroups in March 2007. You need to be logged in with a Yahoo ID to see it.
Any member of the group can enter an event in the calendar, which can be seen by any group member who enters a Yahoo ID and has their subscription associated with that ID.
Note that you need a Yahoo ID to access this feature, and you need to associate the subscription with your ID, which you can do even if the messages are coming to another e-mail address (e.g. eastlink, sympatico, tallships etc.). For more info on this, see How to read messages online.
Fewer than 100 of the group's 250 subscribers were using Yahoo IDs in July 2011. Therefore you should continue to send messages to the group to promote your event. The calendar is an extra step for you to take, and we'll see how popular it becomes.
