South Shore Events

— an e-mail list for cultural events

Want to hear about events in the Lunenburg-Mahone Bay-Bridgewater area? Want to let people know about events you're organizing?

Maybe like me you're on several e-mail lists - (such as the Pearl Theatre, Waldorf School, Mahone Bay Centre) and sometimes hear about an event after the fact that you'd have liked to attend, but you weren't on that group's list.

This is a single moderated e-mailing list. No spam, because a human being will approve every e-mail before it's forwarded to the group.

It's by invitation only - not open to the whole world, unlisted by Yahoo, but you can invite your friends to join. It's free and it's secure.

Moderation duties can easily be passed to someone else, and in fact I have done so, though I've been moderating it most of the time since setting it up in May 2006.

To join, just click here to send an e-mail to south_shore_events-subscribe@yahoogroups.ca and follow the instructions in the confirmation e-mail they send back. See more details on the how to join page.

You don't need a Yahoo ID to sign up for the mailing list. You can use your regular e-mail address simply by sending an e-mail from it to the address in the previous line. However, a Yahoo ID allows you to view messages online and to see and use the calendar.

Only the list owner/moderator (me, for now) can view the members' e-mail addresses. They will not be made available to anyone else.

You can unsubscribe at any time.

Please invite others to participate. Have them e-mail south_shore_events-subscribe@yahoogroups.ca .

Any questions or concerns? Information on Yahoo Groups can be found at http://help.yahoo.com/help/ca/groups/ . If that page doesn't answer your questions, e-mail me directly at .

This group is not listed in the Yahoo Groups directory, and I have made every effort I can to keep it private so as to avoid spam.

I look forward to seeing this list contribute to the vibrancy of community and culture on the South Shore.
