Artists and craftspeople have rich visual resources
to incorporate into the design of their websites. Writers
have text, themes and ideas. The websites of creative artists can
vary from a richly-illustrated online resume, an elaborate online
brochure, to e-commerce if they have a product that it is appropriate
to sell online. Often the site design is a collaboration
with the artist.
Wee Giant Theatre animates festivals,
parades and special events with its giant puppets. It also offers workshops and
co-creates grand outdoor
performances for all ages and runs a summer
art day camp for kids.
Snazzy Snapshots is the brainchild of an expert
scrapbooker who
designs and frames scrapbook
pages for gifts and mementos. It was fun to digitally make
the pages look like the product, yet work in a browser - for example,
able to expand in length with changing text size.
Judith Leidl is a fine
artist working in watercolour and collage.
Lots of rich design material there!
Likewise, the rich textures of de Weever's Wovens' hand-loomed
wool cloth grace their pages.
Reach Into Life Books is an e-commerce site set up with PayPal
to promote and sell Doris Halstead's books
about horses and consultations
on physical therapy for horses.
We did not design the website of artist
and sculptor Justine Kerr,
but we have been maintaining it, a joyful task. |
