Carrie Harlow
Carrie Harlow began her performing career in Toronto, acting
in Jesus Christ Superstar when she was 13. She continued
on the musical theatre track with subsequent performances in
Applause, Man of La Mancha, and Music Man.
After gaining her BA in History and Political Science at the
Université Canadienne en France, she was accepted to the Dalhousie
Theatre School where she studied voice, acting and movement.
Trained in El Paso, Ontario and Nova Scotia, Carrie has been
a practising midwife in Nova Scotia and president of the
Association of Nova Scotia Midwives, active in the process
to legislate midwifery in this province.
Carrie met Kate Adams in 1992 at Fundy Folk, and in 1996 began
the performing relationship that would lead to Cuckoo Moon.
Her gift for creative vocal arrangement adds much to Cuckoo
Moon's hallmark sound.
Carrie has five children and lives in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia.
